A Book about How someone with Cerebral Palsy has made to 38 years old and defined success his own way through his Journey.

This is not just an autobiography written by me (Steve) so I can gloat about my accomplishments. It is written for my parents who are in their 60s and raised me without a guidebook since 1982.

This is also for 13-30 year old me through so many phases of life I came up against different struggles than most AB’s (able-bodied) peers and I always had trouble getting the support and context I need when navigating life with CP and from a wheelchair.

This is also meant to help parents, siblings, and anyone else who may know or be close to someone with CP.

I wrote this book, so a Parent could get the guidance they need in life, or a kid in Highschool just met the new kid in a wheelchair and is simply doesn’t know how to be around someone in a wheelchair. ( ie. what to say what not to say, how to be their friend without patronizing them or worse yet helping too much and therefore enabling dependency on others.

We all need help. MY parent’s goal was to make sure I was as independent as possible. My goal is to create a mindset and a lifestyle that allows the maximum amount of independence with the ability to ask for and ACCEPT help when it is absolutely needed.
